The Merrywater plant was especially developed to cater for the impending water problems in Tanzania. It pressurizes the water system in a house and purifies it at the same time. A special drinking water tap provides drinking water at the point-of-use without boiling. The oldest system in Dar-es-Salaam is working continuously since 1989.
